The Cavendish Pavilion is situated in the heart of the Duke of Devonshire’s 30,000 acre Bolton Abbey Estate in the Yorkshire Dales one of the most beautiful unspoilt and unexploited parts of England. From picturesque little villages to breathtaking limestone gorges, the scenery alone is enough to keep most visitors to the area fully occupied.

After opening up the estate to visitors and, on seeing the numbers that arrived by train after the station was opened in 1880, a refreshment room was built and so the Cavendish Pavilion was opened in 1890. It very much resembles a Victorian style station building. In 2006 Cavendish Pavilion was renovated and it came under the management of Devonshire Hotels and Restaurants. In 2012 the pretty cafe was completely transformed once again and now boasts new outside seating and a beautiful new interior.

The Cavendish Pavilion is all situated on one ground floor level, and therefore is easily accessible. You shall find disabled parking a stones throw from the entrance to the Cavendish Pavilion, and you can find out more about accessible areas throughout the Bolton Abbey Estate by clicking here.
